Summary
A small, highly interactive and individual focused workshop with global experts in Global Strategic Trends Edition 7 (GST 7) and strategy. In one-to-one and small groups, we will help senior executives understand the impact of the changing world, explore how they might impact their strategy and develop actionable next steps.
Overview
The GST 7 Workshop, based on the GST 7 series produced by Defence Futures (formally the Development, Concepts, and Doctrine Centre DCDC) of the UK Ministry of Defence, explores future trends and their potential impact on global societies, economies, the environment, technology, security and defence over a long-term horizon.
Our GST 7 experts will provide an in-depth analysis of the major trends shaping the world over the next 30 years, focusing on geopolitical, environmental, technological, social, and economic changes. Their insights are used to inform government, military, and private sector organisations about potential future risks and opportunities and fundamentally help to shape good strategy early.
Specific details include:
- Societal Transformations: Focusing on demographic changes, urbanization, and evolving social norms.
- Economic Change: Looking at the evolving global economy, including shifts in trade, energy market transformations, and financial systems.
- Environmental Change: Including climate change, resource scarcity, and their implications for global order and stability.

They will be supported by very senior executives who are familiar with the impact of the external environment on organisations and their strategy.
The workshop will include the latest global drivers of change and facilitated discussions on these themes to deepen the understanding and to make connections of what it means to their organisation.
High touch, highly personal and interactive, designed to take thinking and action to the next level.
Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will gain a comprehensive outlook on the key factors that will shape the world over the next 30 years and gain stimulated thinking on what this means for their organisation strategy. Thinking will be challenged and refined in group and individual conversations, exploring associated risks and opportunities. Finally, they will have greater clarity on future strategic decisions.
